AI is everywhere—content marketers know it should be part of daily operations, but they don’t always know why or how

After all, savvy marketers don’t just want to follow the crowd. They want to see real returns from their toolbox.

Barbara Ferrigno, CEO of Concept Marketing Group with nearly 50 years of content marketing experience, had the same cautious approach to AI.

However, she found that writing great content at scale was a time-consuming and inefficient. She wanted a modern tool to help without compromising the quality of her articles

The solution came in the form of AI.

The problem

On average, a blog post takes hours to compose.

Not only does that consume a large portion of marketers’ day, but it can also mean high expenses if outsourced writers are used.

Ferrigno often found that she would conduct keyword and competitor research, read 10-15 articles to identify common themes, brainstorm ideas, and create an article outline herself.

The process required multitasking, absorbing lots of information, and trying to narrow down a clear, valuable angle.

In total, Ferrigno could spend up to five hours on one article alone.

With a full workload, she could sometimes only produce one article per week.

And, if she hit writer’s block, there was no immediate source of inspiration to get her out of it.

The bottleneck was not having a resource to consolidate the writing process and automatically generate top-tier content.

That was until Ferrigno found Semrush’s ContentShake AI, and suddenly her workflow and results were transformed.

The solution

Ferrigno started using ContentShake AI to create SEO-friendly long-form blogs—both for her website and her clients’ websites.

The tool is user-friendly and has the sophistication that Ferrigno always applies to her work.

After testing the tool, she was impressed: “All of a sudden, my articles were … filled with good content and the keywords I needed,” she said.

By combining AI with Semrush’s in-depth, real-time SEO data, Ferrigno could generate content ideas, write unlimited articles, improve her content visibility and ranking, and optimise existing content.

Moreover, ContentShake AI could publish content directly to Ferrigno’s and her clients’ WordPress sites. The entire content cycle was streamlined.

Ferrigno discovered that ContentShake AI cut her research and writing time dramatically.

She managed to produce articles 12 times faster with the tool.

She could also access content themes and keywords that were more relevant to her business, and produce high-quality articles in a simple click.

The results

ContentShake AI was able to speed up Ferrigno’s content production while maintaining her high standards, which led to real business impacts.

Concept Marketing Group increased business by 10-15% with the tool.

And Ferrigno believes that number could reach up to 30% if they wanted to grow more.

Following a review of Concept Marketing Group’s readership, Ferrigno noted that the number of people reading articles written by the tool was double that of the company’s manually written content.

She also saw that her AI-generated articles received more user engagement than previous content. These articles had more reader comments, with people explicitly saying how useful the material was.

Ferrigno’s clients reported similar distinctions: 60-70% of their articles with high user engagement were ContentShake AI articles.

Some users inquired about Concept Marketing Group’s services and prices after reading the pieces, demonstrating how AI content can facilitate an uptick in conversions.

Ferrigno now receives at least five to 10 emails daily about articles that ContentShake AI helped create.

Ferrigno admits that she was once sceptical about AI in content marketing but that ContentShake AI has been a game-changer.

“It’s very simple for people to use,” she says. “Because there are many people out there who are not writers. And they’re clueless. But they also keep hearing that ‘you need to create content.’ And sometimes I’m looking at that content, and I think, ‘Oh my God, you need ContentShake.’”

After her experience, she views AI as a time-saving business growth resource for modern marketers.

She does, however, stress that AI should be an enhancement to your content strategy, not a replacement for human work.

She suggests constantly reviewing content from AI tools to ensure that the brand tone doesn’t change and input as much information as possible to influence more substantial outcomes from AI.

Ferrigno adds that marketers should take the time to explore and understand AI before utilising it.

That way, she says, companies can maximise their potential and replicate Concept Marketing Group’s success with it.
